Hermes Abrasives, Ltd. announces the promotion of Mr. Robert Bishop to Controller, effective July 15, 2004.

As Controller, Mr. Bishop will be responsible for managing Accounting and Information Technology departments. Other areas of responsibility include corporate planning, legal, banking, tax, benefits and risk management.

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Mr. Bishop has been with Hermes since 1983 and held several positions in the Accounting and Information Technology Departments.
