Hermes Abrasives, Ltd. announces the introduction of VC 151 Longlife Velour Discs to the Hermes product line.

VC 151 Longlife Velour Discs (type 15177) are composed of aluminum oxide grain with a stearate coating to reduce premature loading. Using a new process, the grain is coated directly on a C weight velour backed paper, providing a highly flexible and tear resistant disc for use where lighter weight discs tend to tear.

VC 151 Discs are used for metal and woodworking applications, including intermediate and finish sanding on hard or soft woods, automotive body in white primer scuffing, putty and sealer sanding, composite plastic and fiberglass reinforced molding sanding.

VC 151 Longlife Velour Discs are supplied as individual discs in boxes and available in 5" and 6" sizes with or without dust extraction configurations.

Grit range available: P 80 to P 240, P 320, P 400, P 500.

The discs are stamped at Disc Manufacturing Facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Grits P 80 to P 240 will be added to the Stock Catalog and available for immediate shipment.
