Hermes Abrasives, one of the world's leading producers of industrial abrasives, announces the addition of CB 115 to its line of antistatic coated abrasives for the woodworking industry. The patented Sapphire Blue Ceramic Aluminum Oxide Grain, coated onto a "F" weight paper, provides a powerful sanding tool, specifically designed for the challenges of hard or soft solid wood components in the furniture industry.

An antistatic coating decreases the dust on the sanding piece, reducing premature loading of belts and improving the efficiency of dust collection equipment, leading to a cleaner work area. Additional benefits include enhanced cutting action, longer belt life, consistent finishes throughout batch runs, and cooler sanding over long periods. CB 115 belts may be cleaned up to 1 1/2 times more than conventional aluminum oxide belts, with 25% to 50% longer belt life.

CB 115 is available in grits P 60 to P 220 and is recommended for wide, narrow, stroke, platen and cross belt sanding applications.
