Hermes Abrasives, Ltd. announces a change in President with the retirement of Mr. David Potter and the promotion of Mr. Randy Stickley to the office of President.

After a 17½ year career with Hermes Abrasives, 12½ at the Virginia location, Mr. Potter and his wife are returning to England to be with family and friends. Mr. Potter's dedication and contributions made the United States, England and Australia operations he oversaw a success.

Randy Stickley joined Hermes Abrasives, Ltd. in April of 1993 as Financial Controller. In June of 1994, Mr. Stickley was promoted to Vice President of Finance, responsible for all aspects of Finance, Purchasing and Information Technology. Since joining Hermes Abrasives, Ltd. Mr. Stickley has made many contributions to the success of these areas as well as to the company in general.

Both changes are effective on March 1, 2003.
