Hermes Abrasives, a leading manufacturer of coated abrasives, currently has a night shift opening for an electrical/mechanical technician in our centrally located Virginia Beach facility . This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing machine problems, preventive maintenance, cross-training into other maintenance functions as needed and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

Job qualifications include previous electrical/mechanic work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, working knowledge and understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints, hands-on experience in repair and rebuilding of machine parts, plumbing, fabrication and welding, as well as use of machine shop power tools and oxygen acetylene torches.
